    It's a little spooky how new words come into our lives and we just accept them like they were always there. On Facebook you can choose to just "hide" people so you never see stuff from them. A drop down menu appears next to their status update on your news feed.

This post spurred me on to de-friend my coworkers on FB.

I've been thinking about doing it for a while, but this was definitely the spark that got me to pull the trigger.

I did send them all messages about it, because I think just blocking them or deleting them without comment seems like something out of junior high.

Most folks were 100% cool with it. I think a couple were like, "Really? Crap."

I have to say, it's a bit of a weight off my mind.
