aww yay! your recap was great! awesome that you didnt have to wait in line THAT long (all things considered) and you still got a great view!! :D:D:D:D if you wanna post at ALETC i'll tweet out your recap from our twitter. :D <3
Dude, no kidding!! I think that the stupid "numbers" scam worked in our favor, but it really does suck for those who fell for it and actually left the line. I think we ended up being about 3-4 people back from the stage, awesome view.
we all had bracelets at my last show and i DIDNT TRUST IT AT ALL. turns out... they freakin put us in EXACT NUMERICAL ORDER and seriously let 10 people in at a time. couldn't believe it! lol
Nice recap :) I know at Thunder Valley hands were getting numbered, but it was by security or people in charge. I didn't have to worry because we had reserved tix, although I'm sure the GA tix were way better. Although I wouldn't have wanted to wait outside, it was over 100F O.o
Hope you get to meet more of the group later :) You can never tell when you will. I went to four concerts and didn't get pics with the band until the very last one when I hung around at the buses in the afternoon.
Just had to chime in on the number thing. I've been to 3 GA concerts, and they had it at each one. And from what I read online, it's pretty standard, and started early on the GNT. It's always fan-run, and is basically an honor system. No one has to participate, but people do, because it's nice not to have to stand in crazy heat/humidity, and people just kind of take care of each other. So you get your number, and can come and go. I got to Thunder Valley pretty early, and there were already about 20 people in line, but no number system, so we started one, lol. It worked out nicely, since it was a hundred frekkin degrees that day, and we all would have died if we'd had to stand out there without a break.
Ah, I did see numbers on hands so it was probably you guys that wrote them :) I don't know how you survived out there, it was scorching! Just walking around for a bit was making me totally melt! So where did you end up sitting?
Thanks so much for the recap! You guys are adorable and I love all of your pics. I'm glad so many of the dancers and band came out around the buses. Tucker looks a bit like Tommy's roommate (Mike, I think?). Cute!
I think it's good that no one made a big deal out of Tommy being there; the thing is, if he wasn't comfortable or able to perform, he wouldn't be up there. So if he's up there, they're gonna put on a show, and it sounds like the audience got what they came for. :)
Yay for your "concert parents"! LOL Now I want IHOP. I haven't had breakfast yet and that sounds yummy. Of course, I'm in Canada and there are no IHOPs in my city. boo!
