Hey.... I got your journal from your son's... just wanted to say....

YAY FOR READING THE BIBLE!!!! My mom's read through it over 100 times in the last 40 years ish.... Unfortunately, I've gotten away from reading (in general) than when I was younger, so my attention span isn't as long.

debbiej77,

Thanks. It's been a long time myself, and I only read it through entirely once. It was one of those "Read the Bible through in a Year" devotionals -- and it took me 2 and a half years to do it! :-)

Hurray for your Mom, though! I bet she finds new insights every time through.

Well, my mom used to read to us kids (I have three older bros) from the One Year Bibles, but I wasn't counting that, since I was forced to (not that I'd refuse, just that it wasn't my decision) and it was read TO me, instead of me reading it on my own.

Yeah, it's nice having a Mom that's read it so much, so if I can't find a verse, I can ask her, and she usually knows pretty close to where it is.

I guess I'm not good at the routine of reading it every day, or how much of it to read. I was doing pretty good at reading a proverb a day, but I went through it twice before I was going to go onto 5 Psalms a day, but never did get started on that. Ah well, I hope to do that soon.
