Ah -- well, I suppose people do use it mostly for communication. Every day communication, I mean...since a lot of information about this place seems to be hidden from us.

From what I've seen of this place, there are very little, or none of the right materials to build a decent space vehicle.

This network is useful for communication you realize. A way of attempting to coordinate various survival efforts.From your remarks, Am I safe in assuming that you are new here?

I don't doubt its usefulness, but I've seen little of such attempts being made.

No doubt there are other ways. If I could I would have opened a portal and left weeks ago. However, we have microchips in our bodies suppressing any of our abilities. That makes things a little harder, as you may have realized.
