Life got busy. Again. No excuse, I know, just an explanation. Busy in all kinds of good ways, though; did the cruise to Jamaica/Grand Cayman, went to VA with Himself, still doing the home renovation & school things...

Where to begin? The cruise. Oh, yes, the cruise. If you're thinking about doing one, I highly recommend Celebrity. They go so far ( Read more... )

Where in japan? We were there 76-79.

The pics are gorgeous! And you guys look so happy!!! That's the best part, to me. Himself wants to do a cruise but I just want to get through the summer. :)

He's in Misawa. As for the cruise...try a short one, just to be sure you like it. 4-5 days is about right, gives you time to settle in & explore, but doesn't leave you trapped for 2 weeks if you wind up hating it. As vacation values go it can be a great deal, since all your food & lodging is included.

That looking happy thing? It's the best part for me, too...especially him. I know my happiness is important, but he's got that covered - I don't have to worry about it. :)

oh yes, we want to do the 4-5 day thing. we're looking at maybe this fall for that, though.

we have to get through the oil confrence here this week (a cocktail party and a dinner party on different days) and the political convention at the end of the month (combined with my son coming to visit for 2 weeks, yay!!) so i have a buttload of busy to get through! like finding my hairdryer and remembering how to use it! (no lie, i hadnt used one in 6 years when i used one at the hotel on our wedding day.)

being happy...man. nothing beats that AT ALL.

You are a busy little bee, aren't you? I can relate to the hair dryer thing, I finally caved in & bought one. Haven't owned one in over 20 years, but the humidity down here turns me into a poodle. It's the only way to really keep the curls under control.

Being happy? It had been so long I'd forgotten what it felt like. You're right - nothing beats it. And it just keeps getting better.
