Our school had a REALLY strict attendance policy. Every time you talk about skipping I get amazed, 'cause if I had done that, I wouldn't have been in school anymore! Does your school have any attendance policy? Just wondering.

Our school does have an attendance policy, but they leave it up to each teacher to enforce it. Supposedly, if you miss more than 4 or 5 days in a 4 1/2 week grading period, you get an automatic F. Most teachers don't care as long as you get all of your work done, but some try to pretend they do. They act all bad ass about how they're going to fail you, but you end up getting an A or B on your report card. None of my teachers care.
Skipping isn't a big deal at our school like it is at the others around town. I've left in the middle of a period, walked 5 minutes to my car, and drove away. I've done this in front of the school police officer, security guards, and the principal before. Most other places suspend you for three days if you're caught though.
It's nice sleeping in a few days a week though, so I don't mind. : )
