APPEARANCE: Nepeta is a fairly tiny girl, just 4’11” and somewhat thin. Her appearance doesn’t differ much from her troll self, except that the obvious troll characteristics (gray skin, horns and sharp teeth) are substituted. Her skin is lightly tanned and her hair is medium brown. Her eyes are green, same as her “trolltext”.
Here is a picture of her when she was a bit younger. The same general look applies.
(--This part is most likely not as important as her actual physical appearance, but I’m leaving it her for personal reference. Artistic purposes! Nepeta usually wears very plain but brightly-colored clothing. Her most common outfits are either her green smock or her denim overalls. And yes, she does still wear cat ears/hats and a tail occasionally.)
PERSONALITY: Nepeta is bright, friendly, and playful - she is a kind-hearted, extroverted girl who has no problem making friends. She loves playing games and expressing herself artistically, both of which she treats as serious hobbies rather than simply a way to pass the time. She is extremely passionate about what she loves, and tends to get annoyed when her hobbies are mocked, downplayed or treated as insignificant. If you don’t try hard enough to stay in character while roleplaying with her, you’re going to hear about it. She also has a strong aversion to things like drugs, alcohol, and fighting without reason - anything that can be detrimental to the life or well-being of students her age. Personally, she prefers much safer activities.
With Nepeta, life is high-energy at all times! She’s loud and talkative, and loves being in groups of friends, online or offline alike. Her hyperactivity combined with her high ambition makes her difficult to keep up with sometimes. She has almost no attributes of a typical “girl” or city dweller - she doesn’t care much for fancy clothes or jewelry, and she prefers “roughing it” over living extravagantly. The only real exception to this is her fondness for gossip - she loves hearing about the latest developments in the lives of her friends, as long as they're not mean-spirited rumors.
Nepeta is compassionate and reliable, and shows great care for her friends and family. She hates seeing the people who are close to her unhappy, so she is always willing to help out, either by dragging them into discussions about their feelings, or simply just being there to listen to them. She will try as hard as possible to help people, even if they’re unwilling to help themselves. This is likely the reason why she gets along so well with Equius- she sees him as somebody who needs a friend rather than somebody who she should stay away from, and she goes out of her way to stand up for him and keep him pacified. Of course, this won’t stop her from playfully teasing him, though their fighting might just be the best example of them being friendly despite their obvious differences.
She also shows a lot of interest in the love lives of her friends, and tends to pry into their conversations to figure out who likes who, and so on. She keeps a scrapbook full of pictures, and insists on taking a new picture whenever there’s been any sort of romantic development (sometimes with or without the consent, or even knowledge, of both parties involved). Also, though it’s probably seen as slightly abnormal, she admits to “shipping” her friends and has certain couples that she supports more than others. Well, she does have quite a bit of involvement in “fandom” involving anime and video games, but she does take it a bit far in real life sometimes. As far as her own love life goes, she has definitely had crushes before, but seems to put her own interests to the side in favor of others'. She's just a little bit unsure how to do it, but she hopes to eventually be able to connect with somebody that she really cares about.

COMPUTER APTITUDE: Nepeta has a drawing tablet and can use a computer well enough to surf the net. She’s pretty good with Photoshop and SAI but has no hacking skills to speak of. She also plays online MMORPGs and chats with her friends over IM clients.

Her father works a white collar office job, and her mother became a stay-at-home housewife when Nepeta was born. They’re a close family, but due to her slightly tomboyish nature, she tends to connect on a more personal level with her dad.
The Leijon family is outgoing and adventurous, and due to this, Nepeta has spent a lot of time out in the wilderness. They usually use Mr. Leijon’s vacation time for long camping trips, both because it fits in their budget and because it’s just so much fun. Nepeta loves exploring and going on adventures, and has learned a bit about wild flora and fauna from her dad. She spends a lot of her time on camping trips hiking up to places where the scenery is nice, and sketching the landscapes. Because of this, also, Nepeta is in reasonably good physical shape.
Nepeta has wanted to be an artist ever since she was a child. Her preferred profession has fluctuated just as much as her art style has; from wall-scribbler to children’s book illustrator to manga artist to “a painter of some kind”. She’s a fan of anime and webcomics, and she still scribbles on her walls from time to time (though in reality, her walls are covered with unevenly-taped papers, since her mom would kill her if she actually drew on the wall at her age). She aspires to become better at all kinds of arts and crafts, especially keeping scrapbooks of herself, her friends and the adventures she’s been on.
Her other hobbies include roleplaying, video gaming, amateur voice acting and tea parties.
Equius Zahhak is a very close friend of Nepeta’s. They formed an inseparable relationship due to Nepeta’s interest in his lifestyle, and since then she has stayed by his side to help balance out his anger issues. Basically, she believes that everyone deserves a chance to become a better person, and she doesn’t mind being responsible for him. In turn, he protects her, keeping her in check and making sure she’s safe. She loves him like a brother (and teases him like one, too). Despite their differing personalities, Equius has been an extremely influential presence in Nepeta’s life - he is the reason she decided to apply for a scholarship for Reims Academy, even though the prestigious school is quite different from the lifestyle she’s used to. She simply couldn’t imagine school life without him (and also, thought that he would appreciate having her around), and did a ton of research when she was in elementary school to find a scholarship program that would allow her to enter Reims.

Nepeta stood on her tiptoes, peeking out the window of the classroom and trying to get a good look at the courtyard below. Less than an hour ago, she had eaten lunch with a close friend of hers, who confided in her that she'd be confessing to her crush right before their next class. "It's about time!", she had commented; and it was true, her crush on the guy had been so obvious right from the beginning! She'd always thought they would probably - sorry, purrobably - make a great couple, if only she would only speak up.
"It'd have to be her, anyway," she thought aloud to herself, while dragging a chair next to the just-a-little-too-high windowsill. "He's quieter than a broken pair of headphones."
She stared curiously out the window, narrow eyes darting around until she caught sight of her friend, standing under a tree branch with the aforementioned super-shy crush. They seemed to be talking, but she couldn't get a good enough view to see the looks on their faces. Were they laughing? Arguing? Or- wait. Was that a kiss?
"Oh my gosh!" she actually said aloud, flailing her arms momentarily before searching her pockets for her phone. This was the perfect opportunity to capture the first moments of a budding young love for all eternity! You go, girl, she couldn't help but think. Hands shaking, she balanced herself on the chair, holding the phone at the best angle she could manage. Her determined finger brushed over the camera button...
- and she fell from the chair, her dream photograph disappearing from view as she landed right on her behind.
"Meowch!" she cried, looking in dismay at what her phone had captured: a blurry impression of the classroom's ceiling. "Awww... I guess I'll just have to ask them for a picture."
