I spent this early morning in urgent care! Now I'm on doctor's orders not to do physical activity for seven days. You've probably noticed I am moving this week. This is hilarious. The doctor was like "You should avoid all physical activity for seven days!" and I was like "Uhhh, I'm moving, so not so much" and he was like "Would you rather not move ( Read more... )

The only time I ever managed "complete rest" was when I tore a ligament. And in that case I spent six weeks on a sofa feeling a complete fraud as it only hurt when I put any pressure on it (when it was agonising).

Take care.

Oh, no, that sucks, good luck!
Last year, I managed to have a decently high fever on moving day (and also the week before moving day) which was no fun at all! But I was moving down the street, so it was still ... doable.

Good grief! You really need to dial the excitement level in your life back down ... by rather a lot.

Get well soon, and listen to Rik!

moving minions can be acquired with money. Brian got not insured minions referred from the uhaul site, and they were pretty good and hireable on like no notice. It was still less sketchy than random dudes off craigslist, although one of the guys was an illiterate man with a pet raccoon who doesn't take drugs because of the side effects, except pot, which has no side effects. Good mover, though. It takes all kinds. The differences I noticed were the price, and they didn't bring the truck, and they were less careful with boxes -- nothing broke, but some were inverted.

So yeah, ask the moving sites about moving help. It's probably cheaper than flying friends in.

Anyway, trust the doctor! If you end up back in the hospital because you push it, it will probably be much worse, whatever it is! You don't want that even if it is a hospital in tucson!

Oh geeze. Perfect timing.

Hopefully you will be okay enough to do all the driving needed to get you cross-country!
