Intersection #2 with hwango.

Hwango and I began with the same starting point: the idea of putting your troubles under a rock, walking away, and leaving them behind.  We traded a few ideas to see if the idea was workable, but we did not know what the other would write after that.

So so clever. You knocked me out when the rock revealed that if you leave your troubles you get someone else's! Brilliant, G!

Thank you! The part about having to take on someone else's troubles just popped into my head. I'm glad you liked it.

This was so good! I love the idea of walking through a forest and being heckled by a bunch of rocks. How good for the rock that it was able to end up having some company, and how good for Morris, too! It was a fun parallel to draw between the two of them - of course Morris would be the one to bring the rock into town and end up giving it what it wanted in the first place.

It's always so neat to see intersections like this and where everyone's mind goes with things. Great work!

Thank you! Both Morris and the rock got what they needed. If you're one obnoxious rock, what could be better than more of the same? I wonder what those conversations would be like and if they ever stopped? Do rocks sleep? Who knows.

My parents took me to see Brigadoon when I was really little.

I really enjoyed this :)

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Seeing Brigadoon with your parents must have been a real treat. I hoped this worked for those who aren't familiar with the musical.

Hah, I love that we both ended up with sentient rocks. = ) Though I suppose if we were going to overlap anywhere, that is the most likely way for us to have done so, knowing us.

I particularly like the contest among the sheep dogs.
