Week 25 "Catbird's Seat"

SARGESarge sat quietly at the foot of the stairs. He wanted to savor the moment. In a few minutes, he would climb them to the stage and address the newest batch of applicants to the Academy. When he finished, that would be it, his career would be over, a thought which saddened and scared him. What would he do next

This is just the way my imagination is bent. Sarge was at his happiest when on duty, but he has a very good life ahead of him. I''m glad you enjoyed this.

When I first started wrestling with this topic, I didn't see it coming either. I don't know why I wrote about police dogs and catbirds, but there it is. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sarge got a very happy ending; unfortunately, the poor catbird is doomed by its genetic destiny. I thought it would come very late in an otherwise happy life.

Ahhh!! I did not see this coming but I am honestly so in love with this. The golden nose and the catbird delighted me and I just adore it so much!! (That picture is adorable!)

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I love inventing things like the Golden Nose. The catbird picture took a little longer to find than I thought. I had to eliminate all the real catbird pictures. How hard should it be to find a cute cat with wings?
