Going to Mississippi for Thanksgiving was immersive reminder that while I may not live in the american south anymore, I am still a southerner. Or as I said to Amber the night I got back and was telling stories, "I'm sure as hell not a midwesterner." If you want to watch that, my friend Rachel and I will be taking it in at Cagney's on Clybourn with a horde of other Saints fans. I've been watching since week 4 of the regular season. Some electrifying football happening!

I'm feeling the same about Sunday & I have never paid attention more than 5 minutes of a football game. I live in Baton Rouge & people are losing their damn minds down here, it's totally infectious.

Though I am a midwesterner Through and Through (and a rustbelt city midwesterner, which I would argue is a specific thing), I'm rooting for the Saints. New Orleans deserves to win every fucking thing it can.
