I was clearing my cupboard for some space and I decided to clear out some of my comics (not manga) and magazines. I got a whole bunch of Kera, I'll put them up soon.
Any interested parties, please let me know. I prefer POSB transfer and postage. All prices include local postage, unless otherwise stated.

Title: Secret Identity by Kurt Buisek and Stuart Immoren
Condition: 9/10 (Slightly yellowed pages due to age)
Synopsis: (From Amazon) Superman's origins have been imagined and reimagined over the years. Here is a new take on the character's roots. Busiek and Immonen start with mild-mannered teen Clark Kent, who, after years of being kidded about his name, suddenly discovers that he has powers like those of his fictional namesake. He feels obligated to use his capabilities for good but realizes that, to live a normal life, he has to operate in secret, performing his superfeats covertly. His precautions prove insufficiently protective, however, and government agents investigating the existence of a real-life superhero have ominous plans for him.
Comments: Compelling storyline. Both Buisek and Immoren write and draw respectively for Marvel Comics.

Title: God Save the Queen by Mike Carey and John Bolton
Condition: 10/10
Synopsis: (Amazon review) In Romeo and Juliet Mercutio compared drugs to Queen Mab, queen of the faeries. In this new graphic novel, rebellious teenager Linda finds out how literal that comparison is. Linda's father has left, and her mother crawled into a bottle months ago and hasn't crawled out. Linda drags a friend out clubbing and plans to "say yes to everything." She meets the magnetic Verian who shows her a whole new high-mixing her blood with heroin. It's only when he takes her to "the border" that she realizes Verian and his friends are from Faerie, and she's unknowingly put herself in the middle of a civil war between Queen Mab and her usurper, Titania. Bolton's fully painted panels are vivid and alluring, at their best when showing the twisted land of Faerie. Carey's story gives equal time to human emotions and the more decadent world of magic and fantasy. Carey (Crossing Midnight, Lucifer) and Bolton (Fables: 1001 Nights of Snowfall, The Furies) revisit territory already familiar from such series as The Books of Magic, but put enough new spins on it to make this a treat for any fan of the fantastic.
Price: Purchased at S$16. S$12 (Book is brand new, only read a few times)
Title: Y the Last Man (Books 1-7)
Condition: 9/10 (Book 1 yellowed with age)
Synopsis: (Wikipedia) In the series, on July 17, 2002, something (referred to as a plague) simultaneously kills every mammal possessing a Y chromosome - including embryos, fertilized eggs, and even sperm. The only exceptions appear to be Yorick Brown, a young amateur escape artist, and his Capuchin monkey Ampersand.
Society is plunged into chaos as infrastructures collapse and the surviving women everywhere try to cope with the loss of the men, their survivors' guilt, and the knowledge that humanity is doomed to extinction. Vaughan meticulously crafts the new society that emerges out of this chaos, from the conversion of the Washington Monument into a monument to the dead men, to the genesis of the fanatical ultra-feminist Daughters of the Amazon, who believe that Mother Earth cleansed itself of the "aberration" of the Y chromosome, to male impersonators becoming valued romantically and professionally.
Over the course of their journey, Yorick and his friends discover how society has coped in the aftermath of the plague. However, many of the women they encounter have ulterior motives in regard to Yorick. Though the subject matter of the series is entirely serious, Y: The Last Man is also noted for its humor. Yorick in particular is a source of one-liners, although the other characters have their moments as well.
Comments: Critically acclaimed and widely read.
