I had that song running through my head as I watched the Central Park Lawn Games Association do their thang. This lady (yep, that's a lady!) was a total inspiration.
Between Alice in Wonderland and Peter Gabriel allusions, I didn't quite know what to do with myself. I figured I'd have to share her with everyone to let them get a slice of the weirdness.
I thought the first one was "Tom without Cheer" at first, and I spent about a minute or so scrutinizing it and looking for Tom before I realized that without cheer, he is nothing, and I thought that was really beautiful.
And then I ruined it all by re-reading the caption.
It's a great photo, but it's just not the same without Tom.
"Police Line" is freaking awesome. I want a poster of it.
I am henceforth going to refer to that poor sad bear as Tom, though.
If you seriously want a print of "Police Line", e-mail me. We'll work something out. If it was more the thought than the practice, then thank you nevertheless. I am charmed.

I still have a long way to go to be really comfortable outside of black & white, but all the encouragement helps.

It's so exciting to me to catch something like that. If I had staged it, I bet it wouldn't have been half as good.
