We totally need to do a daily Early Risers Breakfast or something at JadeCons! :)

The British-breakfast thing that I absolutely LOVE, and wonder why we don't traditionally have, is grilled tomato as a side along with sausage and eggs. I like the baked beans too, but the grilled tomato is pure genius.

Oh, yeah, I forgot that part. It was obviously the beans that got to me. I adore almost all kinds of beans.

Oh, and I so totally recommend making steel cut oatmeal with dried fruit in a slow cooker. I'm addicted.

Explain what steel-cut oatmeal is. I've been just doing the regular Quaker with apples, cinnamon, and brown sugar (I mean, the regular oatmeal, not instant, and not pre-packaged. I add my own cinnamon, brown sugar, and apples).

McCann's Irish Oatmeal, for example. Lovely, bit of a nutty taste to it. Uncooked, the oats are like tiny pieces of tubing, unlike the Quaker type oats that are flat. I make a pot of it on Sunday, then re-heat a portion, with some milk (or cream), in the nuker for breakfast during the week. I like to add walnuts or almonds, too.
