Finally posting pictures of the baby

Please note - I look like crap in these photos. I was going through hot flashes every 2-3 hours which involved huge amounts of sweating and I hadn't been allowed to shower yet. In the one picture with all 3 children my elder son is wearing a patch on his left eye so it's not some weird camera anomaly that is making his eye disappear. Hopefully ( Read more... )

My brain is so scrambled, I was about to wish you Merry Christmas then realized it's still Christmas Eve for you. Anyway, we're always our own worst critics, right?? I don't know any (sane) woman alive who would say that she looks great a day after giving birth. Thank you for your kind words, nonetheless. Hubby is out picking up some medicine for me at the pharmacy. Once dinner is out of the way I will ask him to do something about the photos. So you might just have a nice Christmas present for you tomorrow morning.

On a tangent, I did read your post about the Oxford interview and I've been meaning to comment. The hospital's firewall let me read personal but not comm LJ posts and didn't let me comment on anything. I will do it at some point, really!!!!

I'm about 5 hours behind you so right now it's still 8pm Christmas Eve for me. During dinner I was discussing Santa's progress with the kids and I said that he was probably right over Germany at that point. One of our local news stations has a "Santa Tracker" on their website using doppler radar. Cute, huh ( ... )

Thanks. I'm just waiting for the "new babiness" to wear off. It's starting to just a tad but as soon as it's time to show him off they're all over it. My daughter likes to help and it sometimes gives me a heart attack to see her lack of gentleness. Oh well, if he can survive his 2 siblings and the dog he'll be a tough man indeed.

Kids just aren't very gentle in general as I've noticed with the way they grab and handle animals. I'm sure she'll become more gentle in time :)
