I've just rejoined the Richard III Society. My great-grandmother was a Ricardian long before it was fashionable, and used to tell me stories. I viciously HATED Henry Tudor because he had Richard's horse White Surrey killed for carrying the King into battle, she told me. I was/am more of a Ricardian and hated the thought of White Surrey being targeted to get at Richard too. He was courageous, losing his helmet, mortally wounded and still fought on to the very end.

I've read Daughter of Time several times over the years and I still feel it's as fresh as the first read. A great book, thoroughly enjoyable.

Like you, I'm glad he was found and the real story can begin to be told.
Seeing the reconstruction of his face was amazing. I think he had a kind face, nothing at all like Tudor spin.
