Belatedly: yes, it's the Koan sculpture which stands outside the main entrance of the Warwick University Arts Centre. It also rotates and lights up at night. (the spiral grooves contain an illuminating strip) Rumours abound of a cult dedicated to its worship; ceremonies conducted late at night etc. The designer intended it, he said, to inspire rumination over its existence, such as, "What the hell is that thing?" and "Why did he put it there?" and "I hope they didn't spend much on it."
