1. College advisors.  So in the ITK department a requirement to graduate is an internship.  We have to go out and find them on our own, apply, fill out some stupid forms, pay ISU to work, and possibly end up working full time during the school year.  Most of you know that that's the situation I'm in.  I

well pirate, you've done it again. this whole entry was semi-amusing, with all the 'advising' and 'apple' and 'programming' many of us can relate to. i'm certain we've all felt that way about steve jobs and java swing before, and many itk majors feel the same as you regarding the advisor. the whole "whatever topic, suck!" was cute as well... but you just couldn't leave it at that.

with the phrase "Fuck you GridBagLayout and you're inability to add new JComboBox items at runtime without turning my layout into soup." you won. i am reading this at work and laughed the hardest i have in a long time. major kudos to you, i think you made my day.
