Matt and I saw Up today - I cried at the beginning. I don't know how much you know about what happens but they tackle a very serious, not really for a kids movie subject... with simplicity so kids understand but still leaves a knot in your stomach within the first 10 minutes.

But the movie is great and while it has it's "OMG DEPRESSING" moments, there are just as many hysterical moments. I think Commie would enjoy all the "Boy Scout" references, and appreciate the old cranky "get off my lawn you damn kids" main character ^_~

Plus it's got the cutest talking dog ever. How can you say no to this?:

Pixar does handling very adult issues in a way kids understand but w/o talking down to them well, just look at Walle.

Also, imagine someone driving down the highway in Jersey with two caskets hanging out the back of an SUV. Priceless.

As for the corset, I know that there's a set of patterns for corsets in my folks' place (I'll be there next weekend and can try and find it for you if you want)- I believe it's in a box with fabric halfway down the hall to Matt's room. It should be right on the top of the box, and I'm sure my mom could find it for you in half a second.
