Awr. Poor Dean. I can really see this stuff. Well done.
...does it seem to you that last season was mostly about dealing with Sam's Issues, and this one seems to be mostly about dealing with Dean's Issues? In the emotional sense, I mean.
Because seriously, last season Sam was angsty and impatient, and Dean was always having to wait him out and try to bring things up, and now (although Sam is still incredibly impatient and questioning with Dean) Dean's angsty and impatient with all the people they save, HE'S the one not so happy with their jobs, and he doesn't seem to spend any entire episode being his collected self. Not that I don't see why, it's just an interesting flip, especially considering how obliviously insensitive Sam can be with Dean. He's a sweetie, but seriously, that kid just says the first thing that comes into his brain.
Absolutely. Last season, Sam was the one with a purpose, who was chomping at the bit, ready to find Papa Winchester and get on with the killing of the Ceiling Demon. This season, it's Dean who has the mission, even if it's a lot more vague. Especially after Crossroad Blues, now that he has some kind of evidence that John did make the deal, at it was at the cost of his soul. That would weigh heavily on anyone. (demonstrated when he's yelling at the dude who traded himself for his wife; 'think she'd agree with that? she's the one who has to live without you now', etc

*hands out tissues* I'm sorry, no matter how serious your comment is (and I really do appreciate it!) your icon makes me giggle every. damn. time. *snerks*
That was beautifully done, hon! I love these kind of key-hole snapshots of fic's, they convey and cover so much with so little words, and you did that wonderfully ; )
Hee, my beta would beg to differ. *loves on mikhale* but thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed them. I really, really enjoy writing these, because it feels like each one I write fills in a little bit of a greater whole, and no matter what, there's always room for more.
