Resolved

Lately, I’ve been in a clearing mode; trying to let go of those items I have that I don’t want or need. I could fill a truck, because I tend to hold and hoard. The psychic baggage all of this stuff represents is, I think, worse than the actual physical space it all takes up. It’s exhausting, frankly, and I’m tired of it ( Read more... )

Count me in. I would love to see how you are doing on that resolution. I think it would be very interesting...and then I don't have to do it. ;-)

Beautiful picture.

As someone who was on a super-austerity budget for most of 2005 and 2006 due to Sue's health problems, I can honestly say: Buying only necessities sucks. At least unless you expand "necessities" to include art supplies, the odd DVD, and the occasional dinner out. We're not struggling anymore, but I still keep myself on a personal allowance of $10 a week, plus what I get from my art sales. Still, being in this situation has pretty much forced me to consider how much crap I used to buy that I didn't even really want once I had it; even once you take out all the stuff I used to buy that I do miss, it's amazing how much is left over that I don't miss. Anyway, I'm tired and rambling, so good luck with it and let us know how it goes.

If you'd like me to add you to either or both filters, let me know.

I'll take those filters too, as I've been in that space before, though mine was less self-imposed.
