What a shitty day. This morning the cat randomly hacked up some bloody saliva. I didn't think too much of it since she'd had an upper respiratory infection last week and coughing up snot was par for the course. But then she threw up more, and it had some string in it. If you're down to last resorts, you might try (force) feeding her olive oil (lots of it).

The vet specifically said NOT to give her anything orally, except small amounts of water and even then only if she doesn't vomit it back up :(

Well, my next suggestion was going to be water+glycerol rectally, but I dunno if you want to go there.. I'd still try it before euthanasia, but I suppose the vet will tell you your options.

She had a bowel movement sometime in the night; the problem is in her small intestine and stomach. The vet really said all we could do would be surgery, or just try to keep her hydrated and see if it passes (though the odds of that are just not good). :(
