Hey, Lezard. I've decided that I'd rather deal with my mental traumas without your help. Just thought I'd let you know now that I've had some time to think about it

Thanks. Nice to meet you. Honor said that I've got three weeks to get a job, but something tells me guarding isn't my specialty. Well, at least I have time to look around.
Well, it seems like an interesting place. I was told that it changes once in a while and that I shouldn't head there alone. So maybe after I've gotten cozy, I might ask someone to come with me to check it out.
Makes sense to me. Someone seems to have mentioned being a scavenger. And you just mentioned having a secondary job as well. Are there a lot of people who do that?
And that sounds like a plan. Do you go exploring the wilderness regularly, then?
Hey Red! Thanks for the welcome. So, how long have you been around here? And what kind of job do you have? I'll be looking for one, so I might as well scope it out and see what everyone else is doing.
Oh really? Well, all the more reason to check it out!
I haven't been here for very long. About... a week, maybe? But I already got myself a job. I'm a Scavenger right now. We go down to the Scavengers' Yard and collect stuff down there that can be fixed and used.
Welcome to the Fishbowl, Tempest. :) My name is Lucy.
I'm sorry you got Lezard as your greeter.
At the moment, it seems like half of us are sick with chicken pox. Don't ask me why it's called chicken pox, it just is. And if you do go down into the Wilderness, remember to take a buddy with you. If you don't, you'll get lost.
Chicken pox... So that's what everyone's writing about? Symptoms are itching and mild fever or something like that? And I remember something about not going to the wilderness alone, but is there any known reason that people who're there by themselves get lost?
Hey, Tempest. That's a nifty name. Anyway, I'm Renae. Welcome to the weirdness of Tree-life. You might want to wait on going to look at weapons--unless I'm wrong, weapons are still pillows and probably will be for a bit longer. The Tree likes to pull random weirdness like this and make it stick for several days.
Nice to meet you, Renae. I suppose that Tempest seems like a cool enough name, but yours seems nicer and more natural to say. I mean, it actually sounds like a normal name at least.
... Yeah, I've heard some stories about it being sort of strange around here, but I guess I'll be learning for myself as time goes on. Good to know I'm not alone experiencing these things.

I really can't blame you for wanting to avoid the Wilderness.

Yes, it does change at least once a month. I'd be willing to go explore with you sometime; that's part of my other job (Adventuring) anyway.

The weapons stall looks really awesome!

Yeah! But I'm too poor to get anything.

I guess I'll just window shop, and it's probably cheaper to fix up something broken anyway.

Is he really that bad on a normal basis?

Likewise!
Pretty much. You learn to ignore it. There are the rare occasions where he's nice. What'd he do to you?
That's right. It's just the way the Wilderness works I suppose. I got lost in there once myself so I don't really go down there alone anymore.

It's something I'd rather not talk about, thanks. But my reaction probably made it all the more fun for him.
Oh, I see. I'll definitely keep that in mind before I decide to check it out, whenever that'll be.
