Yah, I don't know what I did to my neck yesterday. Technically, it's a stiff neck, but I haven't had one this bad in years ( Read more... )

I would probably have it checked out anyways. If it's inflamed they could prescribe anti-inflammatories or maybe even muscle relaxers. That's what they did for my pinched nerve/stiff neck/back pain. Wow I sound like such a drug peddler- got pains? GO FOR TEH PILLS. XD

Well, I've already got muscle relaxers (the herbal kind), and mainly just resting and applying heat to it seems to be doing the trick.

Maybe if it doesn't clear up in a few days I might seek medical attention, but I think it'll be fine. Thanks for the suggestion anyway, tho.

Like I said on FB, if you can get better without seeing/paying a doctor, go for it. I guess if it doesnt improve with home remedies, you might need to seek one out for muscle relaxants or some such nonsense. Hopefully it wont come to that, tho.

Yah, I think it'll probably be okay. This isn't something that happens often, but it's happened before (back when I was living alone, no less--was THAT a nightmare!).

Just one of those risks that comes from having scoliosis and sitting at a computer all day.

I'll consider it a wake-up call and try to make my work station more comfortable.

Making your workspace -- both at home and at work -- better for you could very well help ... cant see how it wouldnt. Beyond that ... I dunno, are there exercises or something you can do? I do PT stuff for my hip pain when it acts up, for example, but I dont know if that applies for scoliosis?
