sigh...ok, ok. I'll give in and do my first and LAST meme, as I think this one could actually lead to people trying new music instead of just being one of those "generate the name of a person you'll hae sex with while wearing pirate clothes" type things. I mean, I know what a meme is in the context of transmitting ideas, etc. Is the one you mentioned the same thing?

Can't say I knew until Laura wrote it, but it seems to be the name for those things where people answer some questions, then "tag" others to answer the same questions and subsequently "tag" others.

one actual definition is: A unit of cultural information that represents a basic idea that can be transferred from one individual to another, and subjected to MUTATION, CROSSOVER, and ADAPTATION

I think the word originated in the study of biological hereditism based on the sound of the word and the definition.
