And, now, back to reality...

We had an absolutely fabulous time in Nova Scotia, with brief stops in St. John and Fredricton, New Brunswick on the way there and back. Photo highlights of our trip are here, which make it seem like we did nothing but visit parks and look at the water during the two weeks. This is, actually, a fairly close to accurate description of our trip. ( Read more... )

Aha! Somebody else thought the moosabou signs were funny looking too.

Compare and contrast to a normal-looking Maine moose sign.

We misses our Owlet, too. And, yet, coming to Houston in July, when I'm melting in Maine, doesn't seem like it's in the cards. (Wimp, wimp!)

We're working on lists of names for either side of the gender aisle: Violet, Ruth, Rebecca, Olive; Cyrus, Samuel, Graham, Reed... Luckily, we have several more months of dithering before we have to actually decide.

I love E-Savers! I'm keeping my eyes open, too. If you find your way toward Boston or Portland, Rosa or I would drive to hang out with you!

Not to be begrudging you of it, but your back to reality (naps, babying yer inner baby, yoga, volunteering, gym, shopping) sounds quite close to my fantasy. Make sure to read a bit and eat the occasional chocolate bar, and I may have to come up there and pretend to be you for a while.

Yes, indeedy. The subject line started with the unexpected loss of job, but I will definitely admit that despite the heat and house-cleaning, it's more like vacation than work. And, come up anytime! We have a 1700 pound chocolate moose (nearby), although I don't think they allow you to nibble.

Like I said, not begrudging you of it, and I understand that there are weird people out there in the world who dislike the lack of work. Or rather, I've heard about them, and believe it to be true, without actually understanding it. Anyway, enjoy all the bits of your life, no matter how you get from one to the other. That's my theory, anyway.

Ouch! The suck! Even if you are happy with it.

I think you should stick with moXie. :)

The problem with Moxie as a permanent name is that it's a famous Maine soft drink. Not quite like naming your kid Pepsi, more like Mr. Pib...

It will probably suck more in another few days when I'm really, really bored.

What if we cause the company to be crushed, like ants?

I would prefer to have the ants in my house crushed like ants. The cats are proving useless in this endeavor.

Fix that thing!! If memory serves, the last few months (in winter for me) were full of hormonal heat.
How is prenatal yoga?? How cool an idea.

I got a lot of prenatal massage and it really helped (and felt gooooood).

A fixed A/C is definitely on the list. Silly repair people, though, want to attend to all the broken refrigerators with food inside first. Sheesh.

I haven't started prenatal yoga yet, but I'm looking forward to it, especially since I have been especially lumpful during the last few months. The first trimester I was exhausted, and the 2nd has been either hot or rainy out. And, I can come up with other excuses if I need to, too! I will be joining in the middle of the series, so hopefully will not be too far behind. I haven't done any massage yet (except for early on, when I didn't know I was pregnant!), but that is definitely in the cards down the line.
