Monty Python's The Life of Brian has attracted quite a bit of attention.. Apparently there are still a handful of religious fanatics vehemently opposed to it, which is amusing. Props to Gareth for getting the film and the special guests together including Michael Palin. Here'

And let's be fair about this: two years for a film to reach the Commodore... that's not really outside their usual timescales, is it? There seems to be some debate in some quarters as to whether it was actually banned and the council confirmed a couple of years ago that there was no legal bar to the film being shown, so it was interesting to hear the mayor suggest she could be locked up for arranging the screening, but to be fair I may well have done the same for the purposes of spinning a good yarn :)

In any case, if I had a problem with films reaching the cinema slightly after their official release I probably wouldn't have gone to see Westworld the other night, so we'll assume I was just being a facetious git again :D
