Reflecting on Hiroshima

I've been back in the UK for a week now so I thought it was time to start jotting down some of my thoughts on my most recent Japan trip before I start to forget too many of the details. Today I'd like to talk a bit about Hiroshima

With regard to the Prefectural Industrial Promotion Hall, I would imagine the nearest we have in the UK is probably the remains of the original Coventry cathedral, now looking a little incongruous next to its far more modern replacement and another sobering reminder of the cost of war.

Whilst the museum you visited does indeed sound rather harrowing, it's good to see that these things are being remembered for what they were and not given a rose-tinted view that might enable people to forget what a horrible, horrible episode of modern warfare this was.
