Started the day off with no power in my apartment, it was going on and off all morning. The only thing good about it was how it pissed off all the yuppies that live by me... LOL... they all huffed and complained as they warmed up their cars for work

I hear ya there. 2 weekends ago, we had a 2 story house with a propane leak explode! The guy was sitting in his livingroom on the couch, without injury! By the time we got there , it was fully involved. We were short staffed, though, and only our engines were on scene, Engine 2120 was first in, 2110 close behind. The water tender 2152. I came in last on E 2131 to bring up more air, and breathing apparatus. After dropping tools, and supplies, I was put on a 2 1/2" line with Aaron Wood on B division. We ended up ventilating the side of the house, and once the hole was cut, the smoke began to breathe in and out of the hole. I prepared for the worst when it sucked in a lot, but someone vented the roof in the nick of time
