Many of you take offense to "words" created by media "masterminds" in order to pique our interest and/or threaten our taste buds with promises of deliciousness of the most extreme variety. Snicker's despicable "Hungerectomy" ads immediately come to mind ( Read more... )

Do you have anything to say about London or Montepellier? Me & catherine are going there in August, already bought tickets.

(Ive heard you mention a few places youve been, but not Engkland or France, I dont know if youve ever been there.)

I've been to London and was very "MEH" about the experience. Then again, I didn't have any friends living there at the time and that probably would have made a difference. The only neighborhood I liked was Camden, but that's not saying much. I found everything kind of expensive and the food was awful (I ate in a variety of restaurants in various neighborhoods). Oh, Notting Hill, where I stayed, was pretty. Just not any place I'd have a desire to go back to unless I was visiting someone. I mean, it's no New York (people seem to compare the two cities, why, I have no idea other than overpriced and touristy if you're not in the know, I assume). If I'm going to be spending that kind of money, I'd rather go to Stockholm. HA!

Paris is one of my favorite cities, however. Never been to Montepellier. I have to ask, why are you going there and not Paris?

I can probably still go to paris,if I want to-(but I doubt i will). And if London sucks I can just get on a train and go someplace else. Amber & Pep will be in england the same week, will probably meet up with them at some point.

Honestly, I wouldnt go to France at all, but bart_calendar lives there-I can can crash with him, he knows everybody there, it'll probably be a lot of fun. I actually met him on lj, but his girlfriend used to work in nyc with saintwhocares! I found that out later. Weird.

i don't know much italian, but i always thought that -cino was a fond diminutive, not a suffix implying anything close to "iced" or "blended."

I am appalled by that abomination of pasta dish that comes in a bread bowl at Dominoes.

I am appalled by that abomination that is Domino's.

Domino's is like play food. blech. I'd rather eat plastic, or wooden play food.
