Aight, sorry for keeping you all in the dark.  As I promised, I've written up a review of the Ogo pager.  Keep in mind that I do not write many reviews, so I don't know about the quality of this one, but it does reflect the pros/cons of this pager through experiences.

Bottom Line of the Review: "I have ( Read more... )

I have the same problem with getting repeat text messages. One time my friend Sarah sent a message about her car being broke down. I got the same message like 20 times in a day. It was really ANNOYING.

Lately my AIM/YAHOO im refused to sign me on...and sometimes it'd show people on their buddy list that I am online when I'm not. So I went to techinal support on the pager and went on Live Chat. They told me to uninstall aim and yahoo and add it back on the pager.

It worked, I haven't had a problem since.

How can you uninstall/re-install something on a pager? >.

Go to Settings/IM/Remove IM Account/

Don't worry, it won't affect your payment if you remove aol and add it back on.

i went for the ogo a while ago because att was tellin' me i could get aim on the new 6820 phone, yes, i could get it, with a 10 cent charge for every IM i sent to people, with false advertising, i went back to the store and gave them the bitchin' of my life time, finally they gave me the ogo... "one of the best" the damn thing wasn't functional, i didn't like the idea of only bein' able to see only 30 friends on my buddy list and not bein' able to read their away messages, as far as the whole settin' up my yahoo email system wasn't functiona, i took it back and had another one replaced... of course they gave me store credit and apologized profusely but after realizing that the device wasn't worth my time. I took it back and had to wait three months for my 400 dollar deposit to be returned to me (yes, i have bad credit, long story on that one) and when i got the money back, they still kept sending me bills for service chages when my phone is under t mobile.... blah blah blah, "we apologize for the inconvience we may have caused you ( ... )

That's one bad shopping experience. I'm considering the Sidekick 2 myself, though, but seeing that you are ready to toss it away, I dunno.

I cannot sign on AIM often, because the service provider is down. When I can, users often report my screen name constantly going on/off away mode without me knowing.

Try changing the option for when you close the Ogo.

My Status > IM > When Closed > change it to No Change

Hmm, I can try that once I get my AIM working. But to be honest, the Ogo is about ready to be scrapped away soon.

No shit, although I didn't decide to buy it, my parents got it for me for Christmas. I decided to test it out and well, the aforementioned essay is my result. :-)
