If you go outside at all, you're going to run into smelly fools. The ComiCon just happens to have a higher concentration.

...hmmm... maybe, but unlikely? I'm not independently mobile. I'm flying in and out of LAX, getting a ride to and from SD each way in a caravan of 7 people headed down there.
