Gah... hate it when crap like that happens to folks... glad you're okay...
Just remember, though, that it's not generally wise for the typical person to chase a fleeing criminal. He's not threatening you as he runs off, and if you chase him, he may turn and attack... that whole "cornered animal" thing... besides, if you catch him and beat the crap out of him, he might win the lawsuit against you for your violent attack. Hell, in some areas, YOU could be charged with various crimes... I don't think Long Beach is one of those jurisdictions, but you never can tell. You wouldn't be able to claim "self-defense" after having chased him down...
yeah even as I was running I knew it was a bad idea. The sprint came after a very long walk - nearly an hour and a half - and my legs were very tired and sore.
Running I gave myself nasty cramps that I can still feel...And yeah I'm beyond lucky that the guy that kicked me wasn't armed. Even as I starred at him in fury and grabbed his crotch I was thinking how he could really really hurt me.
People don't believe me that I can get taken over by complete blinding fury at times. One of the reasons I don't like it is that it completely overrides good sense and any semblance of intelligence.
yeah. I know. Going forward I'm trying to be careful. Also trying not to over do it. Night is already scary enough. I don't want to be one of those scared bunnies hiding inside after sunset. *sigh*
basically it was two guys. Not clear from my entry, I know. I'm not totally sure that they were working together. I was crossing the street to my building and heard someone behind me start to run. I was too slow pulling my purse in close and only managed to pull out my keys. I think I dropped my phone right then. He grabbed my purse and I tried to hold onto it but he made off it it
( ... )
Whoa. That's just wild. I'm really glad you're okay and that nothing serious was taken. Just remember how many times you've gone outside alone at night and now only now after all these years has something happened. Don't let two stupid punks make you a victim...
I just heard. I'm so sorry that you had such an ugly experience. I want to say I'm glad you're okay, but then okay is relative. I'm glad you're not hurt, physically. Please let me know if there's anything I can do to help support you.

Take care of yourself. Things can be replaced. You can't.

I'm glad you're (physically) okay. Had you ever been robbed before?
