First an aside - I want a smart phone. They're like technological candy. I have no use for one and the cost really more than I can justify.... but the Blackberry's, the iPhones, and so on are so totally sweet. Want. *drool*

Anyway:

First warning of Melancholy Play!

Get presale tickets at BrownPaperTickets and save a little bit off the door price. Presale tickets currently only available before the First. And they are only available for shows through the 24th though the run will go until at least the Second of March.

Sarah Ruhl won the MacArthur Genius award a couple years ago for her various works and having watched this play come together I have to say I think it's really very good. An abstract from BrownPaperTickets:

Thanks to medical advances such as Prozac, Americans can finally fulfill their constitutional destiny to not only pursue happiness, but embrace it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. But is that a good thing? Sarah Ruhl addresses this question and others in her 2002 MELANCHOLY PLAY. Inspired by Robert Burton's 17th Century tome, The Anatomy of Melancholy, Ruhls play is a mad-cap ode to an emotion that is rapidly disappearing from the American landscape.
