It's all about the money (but where is it to come from?)
Just before the holidays, I sent out a mass email to a lot of different people who have been important to me professionally over the last year. A few of them replied, including one who asked me to send him an updated resumè. I did so, while telling him that I have got a job, albeit a temporary position for now, in which I am very happy.
He calls me up yesterday, saying that the company he works with are going to head up an IT-department for some company, and that they are going to need experienced techies. He also adds that the company they'll be serving will have the final say, but that he wants my resumè to be one of the ones he presents them with.
By the looks of it, it'll be a very exciting place to work, and if I am offered the position, I'll have some serious thinking to do. My decision will also depend on what my current employer chooses to do. If they choose to offer me a permanent position, I may very well take that. If not, well we'll see...
