Coworker A re-points, at which point, I turn my head and Manager then goes "You got your haircut?!?".

I sincerely hope you looked at him like he'd grown a second head and said "Um, no. What are you talking about?" :)

nah, i was still two steps behind on figuring out what was happening. He was incredibly apologetic later on when the session was out. And kept trying to dig himself out of the whole ... where his boss told him just to stop trying and there's a point where shutting up is the best thing you can do.
