Fic Poster: Venus and Mars (Darla)

Poster art for one of my favorite stories, Venus and Mars by Glassdarkly (aka shapinglightI had a lot of fun while making it. First of all, because it's incredibly rich story (yes, it's a rec!) with so many possibilities for interpretation. Plus, it gives a perfect excuse to go through Victorian dress collections, imagining Darla and Dru in fancy historical

Darla looks deadly and magnicifent in her gorgeous dress. Too bad about the blood stains though... And the bit with the painting is so cleverly done! A wonderful poster for a great story.

Actually, you made me contemplate on the good table manners od historical vampires. They couldn't allow themselves to be the messy, if they didn't want to spend half of their unlives fitting on new gowns. And it's probably the reason why Drusilla wears plain and dark dresses in the historical flasbacks, she's most likely a messy eater. (In Glassdarkly's story she wears not as fancy dress as Darla does, too.)
