Meme Thing
So this is going around. It looked like fun, so I filled it out. You know, in case anyone actually watches this journal :3
1. Deangirl or Samgirl?
I guess I'm a Deangirl. I like Sam, don't get me wrong, and in a different world where SPN was set in Stanford with Sam and his friends I'd be all over him, but I find Dean's issues really interesting. And since I seem to hang around h/c circles a lot in this fandom that means I spend a lot of my time gushing over Dean and not Sam.
On the other hand, I identify with Sam a lot more than I identify with Dean, so outside of h/c I do love to read character studies and casefics around him.
2. Casgirl, yes or no?
Eh. Kind of lukewarm. I like Cas, and I find him entertaining and I love a lot of his dialogue. But I find I'm just not that interested in him.
3. Favorite season?
Season 2, just for the sheer concentration of eps that I like in it. But I don't dislike any of them. Except maybe season 3. But even that has a couple of eps I adore in it.
4. Favorite episode(s) from your favorite season?
In My Time of Dying <3 And the circus ep, and Bloodlust, and Simon Said, and and *looks at an ep list* Literally everything after No Exit. What can I say? It's my favourite season <3
5. Season you're most likely to re-watch?
All of them. But probably season 2. Since, you know, it's my favourite.
6. Season you hate the most?
Season 3. I love some of the eps in it, like Mystery Spot and Jus in Bello and the Christmas ep, and several scenes in other eps, and I love the idea of Sam going more and more darkside in his desperation to save Dean. But just the weight of 'Dean's going to die soon' hanging over everything sucks a lot of the fun out of it. It's the sort of season I can admire best from a distance and after the fact.
7. Favorite episode of the current season?
Hmm. I liked the intro. The witch couple one was just fun and Slash Fiction was hands down awesome. Also Death's Door, Time after Time and Repo Man are high up there. It's hard to pick just one.
8. Least favorite episode from the current season?
The wedding one, I guess? I don't have a lot of the issues with it that other fans have, since I've always seen Becky as representing the insane edge of fandom. (My sister's into kpop, so I'm very aware of the existence of that particular group). But I have to pick one, so *waves hand*
9. Favorite angel (besides Cas)?
Lucifer! He counts, right?
10. Least favorite angel?
I didn't find Anna particularly interesting. Especially after she was revealed as an angel.
11. Favorite demon?
So many. Crowley is utterly awesome, both for himself and for who he's a shout out to. I love Meg for her craziness and for being similar to how I see demon!Dean. I'd say those two are the ones I'd most like to see onscreen as often as possible.
12. Least favorite demon?
Ruby, I guess. I liked her in certain scenes, but she's always just been 'that girl who's turning Sam evil' to me. It doesn't help that I knew she was evil going into seasons 3/4, having spoiled myself thoroughly beforehand.
13. Favorite one-episode character?
Uh. *racks brain* Most of my favourites have shown up more than once. I can't think of anyone off the top of my head.
14. Sam's hair looked best in which season?
Funny you should mention this. I was rewatching season 2 recently and was struck by how adorable Sam's hair is in it. So I'd have to go with that.
15. If the show would have ended the way Kripke wanted it to, with Sam and Dean battling each other and jumping into the hole together (and God might show mercy on them, idk), would you have preferred that?
Eh. It has definitely potential for h/c afterwards *is shot*. I like it in that it means Sam's not stuck in there alone for the rest of eternity. But I kind of liked the symbolism in Dean's promise to Sam, and I've definitely grown to like Lisa and what she could have given Dean if Sam hadn't returned. So, eh. I wouldn't have preferred that, no.
16. Best cast character throughout the whole show?
What is a "cast character"? Like, recurring? I'd say Sam and Dean :D
17. Do you think Chuck is God?
Misha seems to think so, so it's probably canon. Honestly, I usually ignore the whole subject. If he is God, great for him but I don't want him back on the show. God, to me, is an entity that's better alluded to than actually shown. Unless you're writing satire or something. If he's not, he's free to return. He's a cool character.
18. Who's a hotter psychic, Patrica Arquette, Jennifer Love Hewitt or Sam?
Sam?
19. Freedom or Peace?
Zombie apocalypse domestic ending! \o/
20. Dimples, freckles, eye-crinkles, bowlegs, bangs, woobie frowns or jaw clinches?
Uh. I guess the woobie frown? Although early season Sam's dimples are pretty adorable.
21. Favorite kind of monster?
All of them! <3 Except the Leviathons. I mean, I guess they're okay. But given their Cthulu foreshadowing I was frankly disappointed.
22. Weapon of choice?
Sniper rifle <3
23. Favorite death?
Hee. Uh. I tend to prefer the ressurection part that happens afterwards. Although, Jo and Ellens death's were done really well.
24. Favorite minor character's death?
Maybe Randall. From Nightshifters. Or Jo and Ellen *points above*
25. Pre-apocalyptic, apocalyptic or post-apocalyptic?
I like pre and post apocalyptic better than mid apocalyptic, honestly. Stuff where the epic battle is not nigh and people can just go about their business. Especially with the Winchesters, since their everyday existence is pretty awesome. For us, not always for them.
26. Scariest episode?
The Kids Are Alright. That was creepy.
27. Best song that mattered for a scene? (you can't choose Carry on Wayward Son)

28. Best and worst young versions of characters?
I really like young!Sam. I really don't like all of the young!Dean's that have been shown so far.
29. Characters I ship like crazy?
Honestly, shipping to me is just another way of exploring character interaction. So I'll ship pretty much everyone, but I don't have anyone I'd prefer to see together romantically instead of otherwise. I like the unhealthy codependency of Sam/Dean. The utter crackiness of Cas/Meg or Evil!Dean/Meg. I will always adore Sam/Jess and nowadays Dean/Lisa, and lately I've been thinking about Dean/Cassie. But I don't actively ship any of them.
30. Favorite female character?
Meg, maybe? I also like Lisa, and Ellen. Actually, I might have to say Ellen.
31. Best and worst season intro and finale?
Season 2 intro will always be my favourite. I cannot get over how amazingly good it is *gushes* Least favourite - I guess the season 3 intro was a little underwhelming. Or maybe season 6? I liked all the finales, but I don't have a favourite. As for least favourite, the season 1 finale always gets overshadowed by the season 2 intro for me, so I'd have to say that one.
