Well I figured I'd do a quick update since Justin asked everyone too and I haven't done one in a while. I only had my one class today, which was Spanish II, gonna be tough for me but I knew that already. Starting next week I'll have my internship stuff to fill out the afternoons, like now. Tomorrow I have an 8am class =/ and then a 12:30 class. ( Read more... )

"you pick a teacher you like and you get to do your own art for a semester and they check up on your progress every week or two. So there's no set time for the class but I just always have to be working on it and such"

Not to give you shit but this is kind of the reason Eva's parents have a beef with art majors, lol. You have to admit, this is not a real class.

Also you will have to explain the street photography thing to me more in person because your description of it sounds elitist and artsy-fartsy, but i know you're not like that, so i will keep an open mind until you explain it to me.

And yes, that is a great excuse to come to Boone!

Psh please first of all you can do an Independent Study in any field, not just art. i.e.- Political Science you would write up essays and such on an argument you feel strongly about and then present it to a panel at the end of the semester. Secondly not to be a prick but it takes balls to take on Indie Studies in art because if you're not constantly working on the project it'll be shit and then you'll get an F for the class. It's not like I work once every two weeks for a few hours, instead of having a set time for a class I work on it EVERYDAY for a whole semester. And because of this study I'll be a hell of a lot closer to getting that gallery opening I want. Anyway that is why it's not bull shit, lol. I'm not pissed but that I think it should be cleared up because Katie gave me shit at the Saucer for that too.

Oh and if you want to see some examples of some amazing street photography google Robert Frank and look at his images. =)
