If your that discontent with Apple maybe you should do what you really like for awhile and stick to your recordings and studio work. You have enough money saved up and coming in from working with bands. A break would be nice for you. Quitting apple is much harder than me just typing it though. Maybe you could put in for like a two week vacation but not go anymore.
