honest question, I don't pay as much attention to this as I could, so this is just based on vague notions of seeing things in the media: when was the last time that White House appointments weren't blocked? I don't remember the last major appointment that happened without a lot of rancor and time passing, but it's possible that that happened regularly and just wasn't in the news much.

you didnt ask me but it happens all the time. His SCOTUS nominees were not blocked...this is from Wiki just on judges...looks like around 75% of his judges get through no sweat ( ... )

Meanwhile, Sixty Minutes ran a piece on Benghazi (remember that?). Senator Lindsay Graham (R-SC) promises he'll block all White House appointments until answers are obtained.

I assume that "we retracted our story as complete bullshit" is enough answer for the honorable Mr. Graham?
