well, i guess this is what happens when i'm at home watching kids and don't really have anything to do. that's not true exactly. i am wading through the lists of literary agents in an attempt (another) to get representation so i can get published. see, you need an agent for most publishers to even look at your stuff. publishers are picky that ( Read more... )

Yes, it is a tough racket, but your perserverance - and the detail of your world - giv eoyu a leg up. And by all means, continue with the story. If you need a break form it, you could always fiddle with shrot stories, background, or some other whacky idea for a change of pace.

yeah, short stories. my problem is that they don't seem to end. or i include them as chapters. though i do have an idea for a sigis (character) short story.

i should give that a whirl.

If your story reads like that, I know loads of publishers who'll buy it. Uh, I mean, I have a friend who knows loads of publishers who will buy it.

Until then, maybe a decent sci-fi/fantasy mag will publish it chapter by chapter over time. Not the way most authors like to do things (I know I'd prefer a full book right out of the gates), but it may give you the in you're looking for.
