Having played in OWBN for 9yrs and in Ashes for almost 1 year I can tell you that this is a high powered game and honestly I think it adds to the roleplay more then the red tape in OWBN does. You dont know what everyone else has and you should be scared.

and I come from a very low powered game that pretty much ignores powers because we think that gets in the way of our roleplay.

"Oh, you're using the instant Kindred lie detector? nevermind then, I'll just sit here and read my book."

Like Rob said though, if it's fun for you awesome. There are those of us who don't need the sheet flexing in order to be scary and evil.

It adds to the fun. Their fun might not be YOUR fun. I just think it is an effort to get back to the fun. Have I said fun enough?

Seriously though...they also have a set of House Rules that apply to everyone and they are relatively easy to follow.
