I feel the same way about NU's musical theatre program. It's one of the things I'm most excited about, but they only take 30 people a year, and 15 of those are theatre majors. It's an experience that will make college as a whole that much more amazing, but I could still have a wonderful time without.
While marching band sounds like it's not 100% a lock, all you can do is try your best and hope for the best. I'm sure no matter what happens, Penn State will be four of the best, if not the best, years of your life.
Also... this whole "you leaving on Tuesday" thing means that we need to see each other before then, seriously. Even if its for 5 minutes before you drive away. How could I not say goodbye to a friend I've had for over a decade? :)

I successfully auditioned for the marching band (although I messed up and thought for a day that I didn't so I had the day off yesterday which was also amazing). I wish you the best of luck and hope you get into band because it really is such a great oppertunity.
