Weekend
Went up to Wisconsin with Taylor this weekend to hang out with Nick, Kevin and Dale. We had an awesome time!
We left kind of late (Curse you, Canal Days!), but met up with the guys at a diner in Menomonee Falls Friday night. We gave Nick and Taylor presents.
This is what I made for Taylor: Alistair from Dragon Age plushie. She was joyous.
I got Nick the Chris Redfield figure by Square's toy company. He was also joyous.
On Saturday we got lunch at a burger joint, then Dale went to work and the rest of us went to the Milwaukee Zoo (which is also, ironically, in a town called Brookfield). We stayed there till it closed, then Kevin took us over to the CBS station where he works and gave us a tour of the news studio, which was kind of cool. After that we got sushi for dinner, hung out at Barnes and Noble for a bit, then Nick and I went to saw Green Lantern, which was pretty meh.
The next day, Nick and I bummed around, got breakfast, and stopped at Best Buy to do a bit of shopping for Father's Day, waited at his house watching Futurama, Destination Truth and Ricky Gervais for Kevin to call and tell us what was going on with the supposed picnic we were going to. That never happened, but he did finally call around 4:30, so we went and met up again for dinner at the Chinese place. Together we went to Nick's cousin's house so Taylor could see all their Mass Effect props, then Dale wanted to hang out again, so we met up at the burger place again and got (well, they got) frozen custard. We hung pretty much till midnight, then Taylor and I headed home and crashed at my house around 2:30 AM. Woke up at 8:45 and saw Taylor off, then got ready for work.
And that was my awesome weekend. You know its been a good time when your cheeks cramp from smiling so much.
