On being true

Super awesome kid time tonight. We read his story with Papa's big flashlight under the blanket, then I tried foot massages to calm him down, which worked a little. Spent more time than I should have let him get away with just laying there and talking to each other. Well, I clarified a little since I was medicated and 3/4 asleep when I posted that. :)

I don't really care if he's inconsistent, it's the thought processing I admire and am glad to see. He's a very pragmatic child, shocker, that.

True, not real. That is a very interesting distinction for a little guy to make. I wonder that he already understands that not all truths are real.

And that not everything real is true. :)

I think he's not making as deep thoughts as one could credit him (and I edited/clarified a trifle - I was medicated and 3/4 asleep when I posted), but I like the fact that he thinks, and he occasionally realizes that the universe is a huge and mindblowing place.

Are you kidding me? Those are amazingly insightful questions and perspectives for him to be having. And things which can define how we feel in the world, whether we are victims or creators in our own lives.
