It's probably not going to be a Viking ship :) Looking at it just made me realise that there's really no excuse for me not sailing across if that's what I want to do (which it is).
I used to have this purist idea that *the only* way I'd ever go to the Americas was if I sailed, but I've folded on that a bit, because other opportunities arose. So I'm planning on flying to Cuba this Feb to sail for a week, with the skipper I've sailed with before in Scotland and Norway - and that will put my feet down.
I'm kind of hoping that I can find a Tall Ship that's going over in 2013 - otherwise I'll take the ARC.
Then are you going to see if there's another ship going up the St.Lawrence and through the Great Lakes to Milwaukee? I'm sure we could meet you out east, but wouldn't that be so much cooler? ;-)
