... Just because I haven't called the poison control center in three months doesn't mean my daughter's dead.

I have no idea what on Earth possessed the representatives to think otherwise. [If anything, Bruce doesn't sound upset by this revelation so much as irritated and... well, he's kinda wondering what kind of parent his Haven!self was if this ( Read more... )

Agreed. Being a teenager was very disconcerting.

... Ah, my bad. To make a long story brief, the youngest one - Cass - has a habit of drinking non-edible cleaning liquid. We've finally gotten her off that habit.

The pest control center called to make sure she was still alive... since we'd basically called them so often that they knew us on a first-name basis. From what I gather, Cass drank poisonous liquids for quite a while.

Certainly seems that way. Hopefully, Cass'll just stick to lemonade and water from now on.

My Haven self called poison control so often to deal with Cass's strange tastes that... err, once we ceased calling, they became really concerned.

It's a lesson I learned the hard way. Maybe this time, she'll actually stick to apple juice.

What?

What's wrong?

Nothing.... for once.

Poison control just thought Cass died because we hadn't called them in a while to deal with her strange drinking habits. [That's putting it lightly. Aoko's probably been a witness to baby Cass trying to drink cleaning liquid once or twice.]

Why is the poison control calling your house, and why do they think your daughter's dead?

My Haven self called poison control center often to receive help for my daughter's strange drinking habits. ... Since we weaned her back to normal drinks, I haven't been calling poison control.

The control center feared that she'd somehow died in the meantime.

Oh, she's fine. Cass gets into mischief every now and then, but it's never that bad.

Wait, what happened to your daughter? She's okay, right?

...And what's this about bodies? Did I miss something?

Yeah, Cass's fine. The poison control center just didn't think so since we used to call them about once every two-three weeks. I can't blame them - and the concern was touching - but it just wasn't something I wanted to hear.

A while back, everyone switched bodies with random people. It was pretty crazy, to say the least.

Wow. That's...a lot of phone calls.

Switching bodies? Is that a normal thing around here?

Unfortunately.

I hope not. As far as I know, this was the first anyone'd heard of it... but paranormal activity's pretty common in general.
