Okay, so one minute Dominic and I were on our own, making our way to the next town for supplies, where we’d hopefully get lots of jam, and suddenly I wake up here…without Dominic. And I’m also kind of confused.

And I also get the assignment to find these jewel shards. I don’t want to find these jewel shards. What I do want is to be able to go back

I don't think it's actually necessary for everyone brought here to find the shards. As long as someone finds them, then everyone around here gets to go back home. Unless you're actually used to doing this sort of stuff.

I'm not searching for them. Not built for doing it. I think there are others who aren't searching too. If I find any I'll turn them over to the shard-hunters.
