Characters: Roxas(Lucen), Trinity Soul(Background NPCs), Open
Setting: Haven Highschool
Time: Around Lunchtime (It's mid-August and school just started)
Summary: While Roxas would want to lay low, it seems his band arranged to play during a lunch hour competition at the school. However, it seems their vocalist is missing.
Warnings: They're not bad on the vocals, but imagine how you feel when Glee kills a song you like.
"This is bad."
"He's your brother! Why isn't he here!?" The girl with short strawberry blond hair dismissively backhanded one of the boys huddled near her in the chest. 'Backhand' might have been a poor description. There wasn't any real force and it really came out as more a half-assed slap, more meant to scold than injure. Of course, there was a certain sincerity in the annoyance present in her voice.
There was a little silence before the other boy in the group spoke up, "Uh, there's always plan 'b', right?" It was a comment that prompted the other two to look at him as if he'd just suggested killing everyone in the room. Silence hung between the trio before the other two gave an affirmative nod.
As the trio walked up on the make-shift stage setup in the lunch room, the boy who'd only recently started calling himself 'Lucen' handed a note to the student acting as the announcer, who hastily occupied the microphone while the band members took their places and adjusted things.
"Ladies and gentlemen! We've got a little change in plans! Instead of covering Feel Good Inc, Trinity Soul will be playing Ballroom Blitz!"
As soon as the announcer ducked off stage, the girl at the drums started up both the sound of her voice and instrument amplified by the mic, "Are you ready Lucen?"
"Yeah." Roxas gave a nod. It was strange to answer to that name, but as he slung his guitar over his shoulder and readied his pick, he pushed that aside. His friends were counting on him double time because his brother, their original vocalist, had apparently skipped out on them.
"Quentin?"
"Uh-huh!" The other boy stood ready with his bass guitar as he found a comfortable stance to play from.
"Alright fellas! Let's GOOOO~!" And with the girl's announcement, the trio started into their performance.
[OOC: So here's the situation. Students or faculty can either realize that none of these kids can really sing that well and hop up on stage to take the role of lead vocalist(Seriously, none of them will stop you). Or you can wait until after the show and have a chat with the band. I blame Scott Pilgrim and Wayne's World for this. If you somehow have not heard this song, it's
here.]
